TRC's 2020 Recycler of the Year Awards

Nomination Criteria

The Tennessee Recycling Coalition with its Board of Directors is pleased to present the nomination criteria for this year’s Recycler of the Year (ROY) awards.  Participants are encouraged to nominate themselves or others and submit the awards nomination no later than 5:00pm, September 18th, 2020.  Please be sure to note, that this year, TRC desires to reward a few of our education category winners with either a bottle refill station or monetary equivalent donation to your education facility as a reward for your hard work and dedication to the promotion and dedication of recycling.


How to Enter:


All applications submitted must be current projects in the past 2 years within Tennessee.

Please submit all applications with 500 words or less via our Dropbox Account at the bottom of this webpage.


Submission of photos and supporting documents are a must to be considered a complete application.


The deadline to apply is September 18, 2020.

 

Announcement of Winner:


We will notify the winner that they are selected in October and the award will be presented during a live webinar in the first week of November.


TRC Annual Recycler of the Year Awards

The Tennessee Recycling Coalition Annual Recyclers of the Year Awards recognizes individuals, organizations, schools and businesses in the State of Tennessee that have demonstrated a commitment to waste prevention and recycling.

Awards will be presented in the following six (8) categories (view criteria for each category):
  • Government Recycler of the Year
  • Non-Profit Recycler of the Year
  • Business Recycler of the Year
  • K-12 Schools Recycler of the Year
  • Higher Education Recycler of the Year
  • Tom Hattle Memorial Award
  • Recycling Video Production of the Year
  • Innovator Award

Awards open on August 17, 2020

Submissions are due September 18, 2020!

TRC is accepting awards applications for all awards categories. A panel of judges will select a winner in each category.

To nominate an individual, organization, school or business, submit a 500-word or less description of the program (or individual), using the category and judging criteria listed here. Applications must contain supporting documentation, such as photographs, charts, signage and other information. Programs should have been in place for a minimum of one year to be considered for an award.  Submission of photos and supporting documents are a must to be considered a complete application.

Videos must be 1-3 minutes in length, with titles and credits attached and placed on YouTube. Just send us the link. (see criteria below)
